Here are some pics of our new home. We are renting the bottom floor of a house within walking distance to Steve and Micki's home as well as the supermarket. We did not anticipate renting such a nice place for such a low price and great location. We feel quite safe with the iron gate, bolt locked doors, and high surrounding cement walls with shards of glass on the top. Did we mention there are bars on all the windows, too? To us, this level of security seems a bit extreme, but is very typical of the houses in this area. We have lots of space and extra bedrooms that we hope to fill with guests, teams members, and children when we host events.
Thankfully, we have a hot water heater (a commodity here), running water, and toilets (although we cant flush any toilet paper down them because of the delicate plumbing here.) Coming from Arizona, we are so excited to have a yard with Grass! We also have avocado and lemon trees in our yard! Mmmm. It is definitly more than we could've asked or imagined!

Holy guacamole, that was not what I was picturing! What a great place, it looks so spacious and I love the fruit trees. Fresh lemonade coming right up. :)
Wow, what a beautiful place to be lving and what space you have, that's wonderful. Say, can you send some Avocado home to us? Only kidding. Think of you often and am really enjoying the blog and pictures. God bless you both, Love, Grandma Joan
Wow! Your new place is awesome. It looks like it's going to be a great year! I'm sure everyone will love coming to visit you.
That wall of yours with the glass looks like it will keep out those pesky robbers. All you need now is a moat to keep those knights at bay. you should call MTV maybe they could do an episode of "cribs" at your place. :) But honestly, it looks awesome. No matter where in the world you are, its always nice to have a place to call home.
Looks like nothing I had imagined!! All the comforts of home! Looks great and plenty of room.Love the updates on the blog.Keep them coming!!iss you both!! Love ya ooxx mom&dad g
Holy Cow (or should we say Guinea pig) what a nice apartment! Much nicer and more spacious than we had imagined it would be. How many extra bedrooms do you have? Get the guacamole dip and lemonade ready, we'll be right down! That's a mighty nasty looking wall - that should keep out the riff-raff. Love all your pictures and news. Thanks for being so good about updates. Miss you guys alot. Mom & Dad B.

You'll have to excuse mom. She doesn't know how to post one comment. haha. That house looks frekin sweet! Those glass shards are hilarious. I don't think anybody will be messing with you now! Now I have somewhere to sleep when I come visit. And all this time I thought I'd be sleeping with the pigs! HA!
I'm glad you found such a "sanctuario" within your budget! What a great place to "practice hospitality" (Romans 12:13). I love you two. Tu hermano y amigo, Cristobal
Amy & Greg,
