Parting is such sweet sorrow...

Some of our favorite kids from the soup kitchen threw me a surprise goodbye party today. They did the same for Greg before he left- blindfolded him and everything! They also wanted to celebrate my birthday since I would be gone before then. As is customary for the birthday girl/boy, they made me take a bite of the cake and then proceeded to shove my face into it. The kids also wanted me take a video to send to Greg! They miss you, Greg, and so do I. See you in 3 days!

Amy - What a fun and upbeat way to end your time in Quito. Those children are so cute and seem so happy celebrating with you. I know today is a difficult one for you (your last day) but just know we will welcome you back with open arms and are so thankful for all both you and Greg have done in Ecuador. We love you and look forward to having you home soon. Love, Mom & Dad B.

OH! It's come to an end! You will so be missed there. You all really impacted lives in a special way. And I know you've made some life long ties there as well. May God bless your travel back. Hate we'll miss you in C-town! Boo! Swing by Richmond? Hummm?

Oh! The time has come already! I know you all will be so missed. I also know you've made some lifelong connections as well. May God bless your travels home and to visit family and friends. I'll hate we'll miss you in C-town! Could a pit-stop in Richmond be too far off the beaten path?
